Baby who's that?
Don't look now,
There's a ZOLA JONES on your back!

I've had a lot of requests for a backpack over the past couple of years. And I always tell the person making the request that I'm working on one and to check back later. Well, for everyone who has been checking back, your day has arrived! Introducing the first ever Zola Jones backpack.

The Bumpy Ride Bag actually lends itself quite well to the backpack design. I was able to use the same amount of seat belt I would use for a messenger bag, just attached differently. I originally thought I would have to sacrifice the back pocket but it actually worked out quite well to keep it.

The top handle, first introduced on the new & improved Square Peg Bag, is the perfect accompaniment to the backpack style straps. It makes grabbing the bag easier than doing so by the shoulder straps.

Since this prototype will be worn by yours truly, I decided to use a seat belt I've been saving for a special occasion. I mean, what could be more special than a new style of bag? Anyway, the seat belt is from a late-1980's Alfa Romeo. Don't you just love that logo?

And in case you didn't catch the musical reference, behold:
